Calbert Cheaney to Coach Indiana Hoosiers During the NCAA and Big Ten Conference Tournaments

Dateline: Michigan – Anne Arbors – Sunday, March 10, 2013

The former President of Indiana University John Ryan wasted no seconds after the conclusion of the formerly #1 Hoosiers loss to the #7 University of Michigan Wolverines to fire fifth-year senior coach Thomas Crean. The dejected coach was reportedly seen with his bad haircut at the Greyhound Bus Station on his way back to Milwaukee or Baltimore.

The all-time I.U. scoring leader, Calbert Cheaney – who spent the entire 2012-13 season on the bench – will be the “head coach” for the remainder of the season.

correction: Indiana did win 72-71 to win the Big Ten regular season title.
