Letter to the Appointed City Manager of “Deadwood City, Northern California” – Latino Unlicensed and Impolite Security Gooks Stationed at the Fair Oaks Senior Community Center [an alleged coordinating agency for services for the poor, elderly, disabled, immigrants, etc.]

Dear Madam City Manager:

I was threatened by the presence of Mr. Andrade, one of the three suspect City employees at Fair Oaks.

The two psuedo-security gooks/geeks/ Latinos/ whatever, too.

You are on-report Madam Manager.

Your lack of action weeks ago has been noted, as has your “no comment” from yesterday – prior to the report to the County Sheriffs who responded to my phone call from Fair Oaks, owned and managed by your city since ____.

occupy mighty mouse

p.s. Your city motto cannot be substantiated by current research:

“Climate best by government test” slogan is based on one study performed during the 1900s.

What a waste of tax payers dollars refurbishing those two signs…

Why don’t you do your job or move on to another wild west town…?

No Progress in Homelessness Issues in Over 4.5 years within the County of San Mateo, Northern California

This is embarrassing: The following article was written and letters sent to officials of all these local governments over four (4) years ago.

Nothing has improved!

At the Sequoia Station I met a new friend. Like me last year, Mac E., is now homeless…… been so for seven years now. The socioeconomic conditions are such that unless you are under 30 and either have connections with hiring managers or have skills in the high-tech and biotechnology area, you can’t get a job.

Another example is Buck D. He has been unemployed for 38 months “homeless” for 14 of those months, and had only one opportunity to interview for a well-paying position. Granted it was only a telephone screening but none the less, it was an interview.

Finding resources to self-help their plight and future does not come easy. The simple stuff like eating, sleeping, showering, having weather-appropriate clothing, transportation, recreation activities just ain’t easy.

One saving grace are the county case workers, medical clinics, and a limited number of shelters, and churches willing to prepare one meal a day for the disadvantaged. St. Anthony’s of Redwood City, Glide Memorial Church of San Francisco, are two good examples of Christian treatment of the ill, seniors, veterans, unemployed, poor children, homeless, etc.

In Menlo Park, one active group formed about a decade ago – Hearts for the Homeless with a group of concerned citizens from Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. They have allied their efforts with InnVision of Palo Alto.

It is generally recognized that Santa Clara County (San Jose area) has far better resources for housing than San Mateo County (Redwood City), San Francisco, and Alameda County (Oakland area.)

In an effort to affect positive change, the following letter was written to the “movers and shakers” that are employed to help families and single folks find shelter, good food, clothing, and other basic resources.

NOTE: Only one of 15 organizations in San Mateo County [California] responded to / answered the following letter. This included two elected politicians.  Sad, sad, sad . . .

Housing Agencies for the Disabled and Elderly

County of San Mateo, California

Re: 2nd Introductory Letter & Survey

Dear Housing Coordinators:

Last December, I wrote to a number of municipal housing coordinators and received only one response.

Again I ask for your prompt action in this regional housing matter.

In the future, I would like to hear of more about housing opportunities for the disabled, seniors, and veterans  in-need. Our regional unemployment is in double digits and the unemployment rate for disabled Americans exceeds 70%, therefore I believe a focus is needed to both help these people find both housing and jobs.

I am one of the lucky peninsula disadvantaged citizens with a place to live and the where-with-all to continue looking for a work assignment allowing an accommodation.

You have been identified as one of the more effective city/town housing assistance offices. I trust you not only know the growing needs but also understand how to make things happen.

Would you please send your ideas to: P. O. Box 620928, Woodside, California?  One idea is to set up a charitable trust fund. Another idea is to ask wealthy faith/church-based organizations to pledge financial assistance.

The Board of Supervisors Office has informed me that the county has a ten-year plan to address affordable housing. We cannot wait until 2020.

Yours sincerely,

David A. Dailey

Reno is the Worst Place for Homeless Human Beings

I made a 3 minute appeal to the Reno City Council today…
things need to be done to improve the treatment of homeless folk.

Met with the director of Catholic Charities counseling and was so frustrated that I asked her to consider to resign… It was at least the sixth time that I went in for help – only once did they and it amounted to assistance on a $7 prescription of anti-biotics.

So, if an organization is masquerading as a very Christian one helping the poor, needy, hungry, children’s, etc… They have taken the good name of St. Vincent in-vain.

Why don’t they just shut their doors… if they don’t muster up.

“St. Vincent Dining Room of Reno” quit serving unnutritious food at your own convenience! Help the homeless! And not just the unborn child.

p.s. this was written in 2015

A letter was written to the Chief Executive Officer of the Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. No response has been received. No improvements noted in any of the services they are involved with… Happy Holy Wednesday. Go figure…biden2016
